Maiia – Live painter based in Welshpool, Wales (United Kingdom)
I am an artist living in mid-Wales, UK, with a degree in illustration, a life-long passion for drawing and painting and many years of painting experience. I paint events live at venues across the UK and Europe – weddings, parties, reunions, business events etc, applying my unique illustrative style to canvases big and small.
 
The participants and guests enjoy watching me work, and the client takes the painting away at the end. I also do guest sketching at weddings and parties using pen & watercolour or colour pencils. In my studio I create paintings from photos of my client's chosen subject - a wedding scene, party scene, people or pet portrait, landscape, building, street scene etc. My studio work includes poster-style paintings which harmoniously combine key elements of an event from different photos.
